This is about Woodville Districts’ Vision Inc

Town projects and promotion are managed by Woodville District Vision Inc, an incorporated society run by volunteers. Residents are encouraged to become members and participate in the processes and debates on the many issues that affect Woodville and its community.  Activities include the management of the swimming pool, the Christmas Parade, Summer Concerts in Fountaine Square the Gottfried Lindauer studio.

A current focus is the consultation and planning process for a town upgrade, which is planned to take place over the next two years. Another is a plan to provide additions and upgrades to the existing recreational facilities to reflect the growing number of youth and young families.  Woodville is blessed with wonderful recreational spaces that have the potential to provide facilities such as a permanent skate park, BMX track and sports fields.

Woodville Districts Vision Inc is an Incorporated Society whose main aims are:

To fulfil the obligations with Tararua District Council as set out in the “Agreement for Delivery of Community Service”

To promote and develop the Woodville Postal area within the Tararua District.

To encourage a commercial and economic environment in which private enterprise can prosper.

To identify local business needs and opportunities, and to devise practical responses in relation to existing and potential resources.

Woodville Districts Vision Inc meet on the first Wednesday of each month, 7.30pm at the Community Centre supper room. All welcome and it costs just $1 per year to be a member. We'd love to see you there.
