Community Consultation for Woodville Town Upgrad
MAYORAL SUPPORT FOR THE UPGRADE CONTINUES !!!
23rd Sept 2010: A great crowd packed the Old Folks Hall last night to hear candidates for the Local Body Elections put forward their individual cases to become our elected representatives.
What was really encouraging for the Woodville Upgrade Residents Group (WURG) was, in answer to a direct question on the record as to whether or not each mayoral candidate supported the Woodville Town Center Upgrade, they were unanimous in their support. Councillor Davidson was absent but has already made his support for the project known.
Most of the would be councillors also expressed full support stressing that there was an urgent need to improve the appearance of our town as the ‘gateway‘ to Tararua. This vision bodes well for the future and should help ensure that the project will continue apace and before too long Woodville should see the work begin.
