Progress on the Woodville Upgrade continues with the full involvement of Council and WURG.
TDC engineering staff are in the process of developing the Construction Drawings from the final designs handed over by PNCC. These drawings focus on such issues as storm-water and “kerb and channelling“. It is hoped that these drawings will be completed by the end of the month.
At the same time, WURG has been addressing the issue of street furniture items such as seats, trees, planting beds, lights, rubbish bins and so on. A folio of options is currently in preparation and site visits will be made in the near future to confirm the detailed location of these items. It is not too late for anyone who has ideas on designs appropriate for Woodville, to get them to WURG. It would be useful for these to be in a written or sketch form please.
